2012 Palm Bay

 All Star Game

            The 2012 Palm Bay League All Star Game was held on Tuesday, March 20th.  This year’s game was full of drama and it was close. The National League team came away with a 14-13 win over the American League team. There were many key hits and plays to deliver this outcome.

 

The all-star game MVP went to Kyle Washburn (Fountain of Life). He was 2 for 5 with a three run triple in the ninth inning that put them ahead and was the winning RBI. It is ironic that he was a last minute fill in for a player who did not show up! In the bottom of the ninth inning, the tying run was called out trying to score, followed by a game inning double play to seal it for the National League team.

Church Champions Tournament

 The 11th Annual CFCCT was held on Saturday, May 19th at Palm Bay Regional Park, with 12 counties represented.  Anastasia Baptist from St. John’s County came away with this year’s title.  Click here for a PDF with all the results.

2^nd Annual

Brevard-Manatee

Challenge

 

   On Saturday, April 28, 2012, it was our turn to host the 2nd Annual Brevard-Manatee Challenge Tournament.  Representing our league was The House, Central Baptist, God’s Army, and Discover Life.  The Manatee County Church League was represented by The Bridge (#1 & #2), Woodland Community, and The Oasis Church.  Brevard won this year’s tournament by winning 7 out of 12 games.
