The purpose of The Parables is to reach out to the community with a message of God's love in a cheerful and different manner. They are earthly performers with a heavenly message. There are nineteen members of the Parables and more are welcomed. The Parables visit nursing homes, do face painting and ballooning at Chick-fil-A and Walmart and have appeared at the Florida Baptist Convention annual meeting and at the Central Baptist Church block parties. As additional opportunities to minister through clowning become available they will appear in more nursing homes.
